Inflatable Wings - The compact future of airplanes

Long wide-spanned wings will be long gone one day in the mere future! Wonder how? Do you know the "Largest aircraft by wingspan" is held by "STRATOLAUNCH", and the wing span is about "117.35 METRE(S)". If are imagining how long it is? Let me help you, its longer than the 100 metre athletic strip which took Usian Bolt around 9.58 seconds to cross.

The wing of a conventional airplane is typically lesser than 100 metres but still it is considerably bigger. Imagine yourself walking through the pathway or lane with your hands wide spread, I'm certain it would cause unimaginable hindrance. This enlarged wingspan makes the handling of airplanes tougher, as they require greater clearance and a huge hanger.

So is there any kind technology which helps reduce the wingspan?

We observe birds, they to have wide wings relative to their body, but they have the capability to retract their wings which assists their ergonomic activities. But human-made technologies are in constant search of techniques and methodologies to get a bird wing's compactness to aircraft.

Why not, humans constantly evolve and advance in their domain. The "Airborne systems", one of the leading manufacturers of inflatable systems have a solution for it. They have developed an inflatable wing which spans across 8.5 metres when inflated, and can be deflated back to its compact structure.
